Locums | Cardiac Surgery | Paducah, KY (any state license accepted; KY obtained during credentialing)

Assignment Details
Priority block: December 24–28, 2026
Additional block: December 28, 2026–January 4, 2027
Specific-date assignment; no ongoing coverage stated
Provider must cover at least one complete block
Schedule: 24-hour coverage, 7 a.m.–7 a.m.
Approximately 4–7 shifts per month
Coverage type: Hospital-based clinical coverage + call
Volume: Approximately 1–2 cardiothoracic surgical cases per day
Setting: Adult and geriatric inpatient care
Support: Dedicated cardiac anesthesia team, first assist experienced in endoscopic vein harvesting, and collaborative ICU team
One cardiac OR and one hybrid OR
Epic
Approximately 90 days for credentialing
Clinical Details
Heavy adult cardiac surgery focus required
CABG, including arterial revascularization and redo cases
Heart valve repair and replacement
High-risk postoperative ICU management
Impella insertion, removal, and bailout support required
Structural heart procedural support in the hybrid OR and cath lab required
General thoracic surgery preferred, including chest tubes, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy, VATS, lung biopsy, and pericardial windows
Requirements
Board certification required
Any state license accepted; KY license obtained during credentialing
BLS required
Active DEA
Impella support experience required
Structural heart support experience required
