Call-only coverage in defined weekend/holiday blocks
Only 3 patients per shift

Three specific coverage blocks through December
Assignment Details
Dates: Sept. 25–28, Nov. 13–16, and Dec. 19–28, 2026
Schedule: 7 AM–7 AM coverage blocks; beeper call with 30-minute response
Coverage type: Call only
Volume: Approximately 3 patients per shift
Setting: Inpatient, 12-bed department
Support: Assigned-patient rounding; no APP or resident supervision required
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Timeframe not specified; temporary privileges available
Clinical Details
Preferred: General cardiothoracic surgery, open/endoscopic procedures, CABG, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, lung resection/VATS, chest wall/pleural procedures, and esophageal/diaphragm surgery
Preferred: Pacemaker/AICD, LVAD, TAVR, bronchoscopy, ventilator management, central/arterial/PA lines, and IABP
Preferred vascular scope: Open/endovascular vascular surgery, aorto-abdominal aneurysm repair, aorto-femoral/iliac and fem-pop bypass, carotid/renal endarterectomy, and subclavian steal procedures
Requirements
Board certification required
Active South Carolina license required
Cardiothoracic surgery fellowship training
Must be available for the exact requested coverage blocks
No specific ACLS, BLS, ATLS, or PALS requirement listed
