Cardiothoracic Surgeon Leadership Opportunity
Located in Dayton, OH - Cincinnati 55m
Full-time, permanent position
Position Overview
* Full-time, hospital-employed Cardiothoracic Surgery opportunity with leadership responsibilities
* Seeking a mid-career surgeon with approximately 8–10 years of experience
* Prior leadership experience preferred
* Practice includes both cardiac and thoracic surgery
* Schedule includes 3–4 OR days and 1 clinic day per week
* Clinic conveniently located within the hospital
* H-1B visa sponsorship available; J-1 sponsorship not available
Qualifications
* Board Certified in Cardiac Surgery
* Completion of a 6-year integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency or General Surgery Residency followed by a 2–3-year Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency
* U.S. residency and/or fellowship training required
* Approximately 8–10 years of experience preferred
* Prior leadership experience preferred
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Collaborative and team-oriented approach
Practice Highlights
* Established Cardiothoracic Surgery program
* Approximately 600 open-heart surgeries annually
* Approximately 180 thoracic cases annually
* Structural heart program includes TAVR and MitraClip
* ECMO program
* LVAD/mechanical circulatory support program anticipated to launch in 2027
* Da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system
* Ion robotic platform
* APP support in clinic, surgery, and inpatient rounding
* 24/7 Critical Care support
* Leadership responsibilities within the Cardiothoracic Surgery program
