- Assignment Length: 6-month assignment with option to extend
- Patient Volume: Approximately 10 patients per day
- EMR: Epic
- Requirements: Board Certified NCCPA PA; active Connecticut license; ACLS and BLS required; minimum 1 year of experience
- Core Skills: Cardiothoracic surgery first assist, inpatient consults, rounding, pre-op evaluations, care coordination, central venous catheter placement, dialysis catheter placement, arterial lines, endoscopic vein retrieval, and post-operative patient management
- Setting: Inpatient cardiothoracic surgery service; Level I Trauma Center; adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Support: Independent practice environment supporting cardiothoracic surgical and step-down unit patients
- Credentialing: Dependent on application completion and provider responsiveness
