Cardiothoracic Surgery Position in Ohio Located in Portsmouth Full-Time & Permanent Seeking a BE/BC Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join practice. Practice Full breadth of cardiothoracic surgery:
- CABG
- valve replacement
- surgical ablation
- pacemakers
- VATS
- Thoracotomy
- Esophagectomy
- hiatal hernia repair Details:
- Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
- Two to three half-day clinics
- Join 5 physicians and 6 APPs and 2 surgical first assists
- Call 1:3 rotation shared with two physicians
- 10-15 patients per half-day clinic
- 1-2 office procedures/day
- Loop recorder removal
- Varies 1-6+ hospital procedures/day
- Hospital: full cardiac surgical resources and cardiopulmonary bypass
- da Vinci robotic surgical system Requirements:
- Experience performing a full range of adult cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass and valve surgery
- Participate in the cardiothoracic surgery call schedule
- Collaborate closely with cardiology, vascular surgery, anesthesia, advanced practice providers, and other members of the multidisciplinary heart and vascular team
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality outcomes, patient safety, and evidence-based care
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with patients, families, referring providers, and team members
