### Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgery | Hilton Head, SC (Active SC License Required) ### Why This Role

  • Three defined fall and holiday call blocks
  • Low average volume of approximately three patients per shift
  • Broad Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery scope
  • Epic EMR ###
Assignment Details Required Coverage Blocks: - September 25 at 7:00 AM–September 28 at 7:00 AM - November 13 at 7:00 AM–November 16 at 7:00 AM - December 19 at 7:00 AM–December 28 at 7:00 AM Availability Requirement: Exact availability must be included at presentation; listed dates are firm Coverage Type: Beeper call Setting: Inpatient Patient Volume: Approximately three patients per shift Response Time: 30 minutes Rounding: Assigned patients Department Size: 12 beds EMR: Epic Temporary Privileges: Available ### Requirements Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon Active South Carolina medical license Availability for the required coverage blocks Current Cardiothoracic Surgery experience Ability to respond within 30 minutes Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery experience preferred ### Clinical Details Provide Cardiothoracic Surgery beeper-call coverage Round on assigned inpatients Evaluate urgent Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery needs Perform emergency operative procedures when required Preferred scope includes CABG, valve repair and replacement, aneurysm repair, TAVR, and thoracic surgery Additional preferred skills include vascular surgery, bronchoscopy, pacemaker placement, and invasive line placement No APP supervision, resident supervision, or teaching responsibilities
