### Locums | Cardiothoracic Surgery | Duluth, MN (No State License Required to Bid) ### Why This Role

  • Ongoing need for 7‚Äì10 days per month
  • Call-only Cardiothoracic Surgery coverage
  • Dedicated team of three APPs
  • Epic EMR ###
Assignment Details Start Date: October 1, 2026 Duration: Ongoing Commitment: 7–10 days per month; up to 14 days considered Preferred Rotation: Weekdays connecting two weekends Setting: Inpatient Call Type: Beeper call Call Ratio: Approximately 1:2 Response Time: 20 minutes Average Volume: Approximately 4–5 consultations, patient encounters, and admissions Facility: 99-bed, Level II trauma hospital EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 90 days Temporary Privileges: Available ### Requirements Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiothoracic Surgeon Cardiothoracic Surgery fellowship training Current ACLS and ATLS Availability for at least 7–10 days per month Experience with open and endoscopic cardiothoracic surgery Ability to provide comprehensive cardiac and thoracic emergency coverage ### Clinical Details Perform on-pump and off-pump CABG Perform valve repair and replacement Manage congenital cardiac defects and cardiac or thoracic aneurysms Perform lung resections, including VATS Perform chest wall, pleural, esophageal, and diaphragmatic procedures Provide TAVR, LVAD, AICD, bronchoscopy, and ventilator management Place central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABPs Round on assigned and unassigned patients Dedicated Vascular Surgery service handles vascular cases No APP supervision or teaching responsibilities
