- Located in Albany, NY
- Full-time, permanent position
Position Overview
A premier cardiac surgery program in New York’s Capital Region is seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a highly respected, high-volume cardiovascular team. This hospital-employed opportunity offers access to an extensive referral network, advanced structural heart program, strong surgical support, and the ability to perform a broad spectrum of cardiac surgical procedures within a nationally recognized program.
Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery (ABTS)
* Minimum 4–5 years of post-training experience
* Eligible for New York State Medical License
* Minimally invasive cardiac surgery experience preferred
* Robotic cardiac surgery experience preferred but not required
* H-1B and J-1 sponsorship not available

Surgical Program Highlights
* 600–700 open-heart surgeries annually
* Comprehensive cardiac surgery program
* Structural heart program performing:
* 150–200 TAVR procedures annually
* MitraClip procedures
* Full spectrum of cardiac surgery services excluding transplantation
* Consistently strong outcomes exceeding state and national benchmarks
* Advanced and minimally invasive surgical capabilities
Call Schedule
* Shared 1:5 call rotation
Support & Resources
* Strong in-house Cardiothoracic Surgical PA team
* 24/7 PA support covering:
* Operating Rooms
* Intensive Care Unit
* Three dedicated cardiothoracic operating rooms
* Established multidisciplinary cardiovascular team
* Robust inpatient and outpatient support infrastructure
Compensation & Benefits
* Starting Salary: $950,000 – $975,000
