Overview
A well-established regional health system is seeking a Board-Certified Thoracic Surgeon for vacation coverage. This opportunity includes 24-hour call coverage, inpatient thoracic surgery services, emergency outpatient consults, and follow-up visits within a comprehensive surgical program.
Practice Details
- 24-hour call coverage
- Primarily inpatient thoracic surgery service
- Emergency outpatient consults and follow-up visits
- Full spectrum of thoracic surgery procedures
- APP support available (no supervision required)
Coverage Dates
Seeking coverage for the following date ranges:
- June 26–29
- July 31–August 10
- October 17–21
- November 3–6
- November 20–30
- December 18–29
Procedures & Case Mix
Candidates must be comfortable performing the full scope of thoracic surgery, including:
- Robotic thoracic procedures
- Open thoracic procedures
- Esophageal surgery
- VATS procedures
- Chest surgery
- Wedge resections
- Additional thoracic surgical cases as needed
Technology
- Epic EMR
- Dragon Dictation
Requirements
- Board Certified Thoracic Surgeon
- Active BLS & ACLS certifications
- Active Michigan license preferred
- IMLC candidates may be considered
Credentialing
- Quick credentialing process
