Valve repair and replacement
Pericardial window procedures
Lung resections
Vascular surgeries, including endarterectomies
Provide inpatient care, including rounding and consults
Conduct outpatient consultations as needed (typically afternoons post-surgery)
Manage continuous call coverage throughout the assignment
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Surgical Volume: Approximately 1–2 surgeries per weekday, depending on need
Additional Duties: Inpatient rounding and outpatient consults
Support Staff
Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP)
Clinic Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and Registered Nurse (RN)
Fully staffed Operating Room (OR) team
American Osteopathic Association (AOA)
Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Doctorate in Medicine from an accredited institution
Active and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain licensure in North Dakota)
Demonstrated proficiency in required cardiothoracic procedures
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide locum tenens coverage. This role primarily involves inpatient care, with a preference for providers who are also comfortable managing outpatient responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:
Perform cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including:Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
Valve repair and replacement
Pericardial window procedures
Lung resections
Vascular surgeries, including endarterectomies
Provide inpatient care, including rounding and consults
Conduct outpatient consultations as needed (typically afternoons post-surgery)
Manage continuous call coverage throughout the assignment
Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
Schedule & Workload:
Coverage Period: 24/7 call coverage for the full assignment durationSurgical Volume: Approximately 1–2 surgeries per weekday, depending on need
Additional Duties: Inpatient rounding and outpatient consults
