Cardio-Thoracic Surgery Physician Opening in Baltimore, MD
Location: Baltimore, MD – Major metropolitan area access

Position Overview
Seeking a Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon to join a high-volume cardiovascular program performing a full spectrum of adult cardiac surgical procedures, including TAVR. The role includes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and advanced practice providers, with dedicated cardiac operating rooms and ICU support.
Qualifications / Candidate Requirements
* MD or DO from an accredited medical school
* Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
* Expertise in TAVR required; other catheter-based skills desirable
* At least five years of post-fellowship experience preferred
* Proven track record of excellent clinical outcomes
Position Highlights / Opportunity Highlights
* Perform full spectrum of adult cardiac surgical procedures
* Two dedicated cardiac operating rooms with specialized staff
* Dedicated Cardiac ICU support
* Work alongside 2 cardiac surgeons and 30+ cardiology specialists, including interventional and structural cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and vascular surgeons
* High procedural volume: over 3,000 cardiac procedures per year (~2,000 caths, 600+ PCIs, ~50 TAVRs, plus structural interventions)
* 24/7 support from 20–25 advanced practice providers across the system
* Academic, teaching, and research opportunities available
Compensation & Benefits
* Guaranteed base salary: $675,000–$850,000, dependent on experience
* Additional compensation: wRVU and quality incentive opportunities
* Paid Time Off: 28 days
* CME: 5 days, plus $7,500 reimbursement for CME and professional expenses
