The position offers an opportunity to participate in expanding a unique regional thoracic surgery program at one of the most progressive tertiary care centers in the state and region. The candidate will join two other surgeons in the Section of Thoracic Surgery.
Clinical responsibilities will include patient care at OU Health Medical Center and OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahoma’s only NCI-designated cancer center. Teaching responsibilities will include medical student and resident education at the University of Oklahoma Health Campus.
Our highly trained and skilled surgeons care for patients with benign and malignant diseases of the lungs, esophagus, chest wall, pleural space, and mediastinum. The practice offers a full spectrum of procedures of the lungs and esophagus, including benign foregut surgery. Robotic experience is helpful but not required. Full spectrum of access to robotic surgical systems is available including DaVinci, robotic bronchoscopy and single port. The candidate will have the option to help lead our lung cancer screening expansion as we roll out mobile lung cancer screening throughout the state.
