This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility serving the Central Valley community with comprehensive cardiac and thoracic services. The facility operates as a Level 2 trauma center with a 12-bed department and provides critical cardiothoracic coverage for emergency trauma cases.
Opportunity:
Physician - Thoracic Surgery - Cardio Thoracic Surgery
Job Details:
• Provide emergency room trauma call coverage for cardiothoracic cases
• Must have experience in open heart and thoracic surgery procedures
• Handle 5 patient encounters per shift in a 12-bed department
• Perform general cardiovascular and thoracic surgery procedures (open and endoscopic)
• Conduct coronary artery bypass surgery (both on-pump and off-pump)
• Manage congenital defects including ASD, VSD, and PFO repairs
• Perform valvular repair and replacement procedures
• Handle aneurysm repair (cardiac and aorto-thoracic)
• Conduct lung resection procedures including VATs
• Perform chest wall, pleural, esophagus and diaphragm surgeries
• Place permanent pacemakers and AICD devices
• Manage left ventricular assist devices and TAVR procedures
• Provide ventilator management and bronchoscopy services
• Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues
• Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABP
• Perform general vascular surgery procedures (open and endovascular)
• Conduct bypass procedures and endarterectomy (carotid and renal)
• Must be board certified with active California medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Temporary privileges available with expedited credentialing

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
