This facility is a leading medical center in northeastern Indiana featuring 325 beds and providing comprehensive cardiac and thoracic surgical services. As a Level 2 trauma center, the hospital delivers advanced care to patients throughout the region with state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative healthcare team.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Thoracic Surgery - Cardio Thoracic Surgery
Job Details:
• Locums-to-Perm opportunity with approximately 10 patient encounters per shift
• Perform comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical procedures including open and endoscopic approaches
• Conduct coronary artery bypass surgeries (both on-pump and off-pump)
• Provide surgical management for congenital defects (ASD, VSD, PFO, etc.)
• Perform valvular repairs and replacements
• Handle cardiac and aorto-thoracic aneurysm repairs
• Conduct lung resections including VATS procedures
• Perform chest wall, pleural, esophagus, and diaphragm surgeries
• Implement permanent pacemaker placements and AICD
• Experience with left ventricular assist devices, TAVR, and CABG procedures
• Provide ventilator management and bronchoscopy
• Insert central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABPs
• Conduct vascular surgical procedures including open and endovascular approaches
• Board certification eligible with ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
• Active Indiana medical license required (IMLC not accepted)
• Expected credentialing timeframe: 30-45 days
