Seeking a BC/BE Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a well-respected team in Des Moines, Iowa.
Highlights:
- Full-time position
- Join a team of 2 surgeons (growing to 3!), 3 APPs, 2 Office Based RNs, and 4 Perfusionists
- Comprehensive Cardiovascular team includes 20 Cardiologists and 4 Vascular Surgeons
- CVS Co-management agreement with Iowa’s largest health system
- Established adult general Cardiothoracic Surgery Department with a recognized Structural Heart Program participating in TAVR and MitraClip; Maze procedures and Lead extraction
- Two designated cardiac surgery ORs and access to two hybrid procedural rooms
- Call 1:3
- Research opportunities available
- Teaching opportunities with residency program
- Excellent payor mix
- Large referral base within clinic of over 270 multi-specialty providers in addition to an external referral base that includes 1.3 million
