Retina Surgeon
Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Retina Surgeon to join a well-established ophthalmology team. This role focuses on the diagnosis, management, and treatment of diseases affecting the retina and vitreous, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, and other complex retinal disorders. You will collaborate closely with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and allied healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive, high-quality eye care.
The ideal candidate will have completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery or medical retina and be board certified in ophthalmology, with strong expertise in both medical and surgical retinal care.
Compensation

Base Salary: $400,000
- Additional incentives and add-ons may be available based on experience and productivity

Job Responsibilities
Perform retinal surgeries and laser procedures
Administer intravitreal injections
Interpret diagnostic imaging, including OCT and fluorescein angiography
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
Collaborate with ophthalmologists, optometrists, and clinical staff
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and prognosis
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Stay current with advancements in retinal treatments and technologies
Participate in clinical research and continuing education as applicable
Qualifications
Board Certified in Ophthalmology
Completion of a Retina Fellowship (medical retina or vitreoretinal surgery)
Active and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain)
Proven proficiency in retinal diagnostic and surgical procedures
Working Hours
Clinic and surgical schedule to be discussed during the interview process
Skills
Proficiency in OCT, fluorescein angiography, and retinal imaging
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High attention to detail and precision
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
