Job Description - Podiatric Surgeon
Location: Washington, DC
Employment Type: Full-Time (On-site)
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Podiatric Surgeon to join our healthcare team. This full-time, on-site role involves providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent surgical skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnosis, treatment, and surgical intervention for diverse foot and ankle conditions.
Provide specialized care for diabetic patients, including prevention, wound care, and management of complications.
Evaluate and treat complex foot deformities.
Conduct biomechanical assessments and prescribe orthotics based on patient needs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Participate in on-call rotations; weekday call with occasional weekend rounding based on rotation schedule.
Maintain thorough and accurate clinical documentation.
Deliver patient-centered care across a broad age range (0-100).
Qualifications
Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree.
Completion of an accredited Podiatric Surgical Residency program.
Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABFAS preferred).
Strong surgical expertise, including treatment of complex deformities.
Experience with diabetic foot management.
Knowledge of biomechanics and orthotic therapy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Schedule & Setting
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Call Requirements: Weekday call with assigned weekend rounding (based on number of associate physicians).
Setting: Outpatient office with additional hospital rounding responsibilities.
