Essential Functions, Job Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Knowledge
• Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, and epidemiology of medical conditions
• Utilizes critical thinking to synthesize and analyze collected data
• Develops, implements, and alters the plans of care as indicated
• Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area
Patient Care
• Provides compassionate care, incorporating the patient and family in care planning and treatment across settings
• Serves as an advocate for patients and families in navigating the health care system
• Clinical documentation, including coding and billing, meets all required standards
• Utilization and proficiency of EHR, allowing for timely completion of documentation
Practice Based Learning and Clinical Improvement
• Demonstrates insight into own strengths, limitations, and knowledge deficits, continuously seeking opportunities for clinical advancement and skill attainment
• Actively participates in self-evaluation by seeking and utilizing guidance and constructive feedback in a professional manner
Communication and Interdisciplinary Collaboration
• Works and communicates effectively with multidisciplinary team members, all related health professionals, patients and their families
• Promotes mutual respect and trust working within a team model

Education & Experience
• Doctoral degree in podiatric medicine
• Completion of accredited residency with board qualification or certification
• Surgical experience preferred
