Job description
One of the largest multi-specialty medical groups in Metropolitan Phoenix, has an immediate practice opportunity for a Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon. Current team of 1 full-time breast surgeon and 3 other plastic surgeons, with 1 retiring. This role will step into the retiring physician's position, with the potential for a leadership role/Chief of Service.
The Surgery Department staffs a 270-bed academic community hospital and designated ACS and State of Arizona Level I Adult Trauma/Level I Burn Center. It is an urban teaching hospital with a fully accredited ACGME General Surgery Residency, and the Plastic Surgery Division also hosts resident rotators from the Mayo Clinic Plastic Surgery Residency. Group is a faculty partner in the Creighton University Medical School educational alliance. Its surgeons operate and round at a new hospital facility that opened in 2024.
- Should be comfortable managing the full range of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery patients. Expertise with Maxillofacial Trauma and Microvascular surgery is required.
- Join four existing plastic surgeons in the division of plastic and reconstructive surgery.
- Inpatient and outpatient general plastic and reconstructive surgery services in the elective and emergent care settings, sharing call coverage, and teaching residents.
- No cosmetics.
- Opportunity to participate in collaborative research activities and refining and extending existing plastic surgery services.
