First Physicians Group is growing our Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery division in the highly desirable area of Sarasota, Florida.

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, a 901-bed regional medical center, is among the largest acute care public health systems in Florida. A not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1925, we are a full-service health system with specialized expertise in heart, vascular, cancer, and neuroscience services, as well as a network of outpatient centers, long-term care and rehabilitation among its many programs. The hospital has been awarded Magnet Nursing designation five times – the nation's highest honor for excellence in nursing.

All sub-specialties are welcome to apply, but a Fellowship in Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery is preferred. Hand surgery experience is a plus.

The practice performs a full spectrum of plastic surgery including general plastics, hand, microvascular, reconstruction, soft-tissue, lesion removal, lifts, cosmetic/aesthetic, breast surgery, free flaps and more. No replantations. This is an exciting opportunity to help build and shape a highly regarded practice.

Highlights of the opportunity:

• High volume, Employed practice with two Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons
• Physicians are on staff at one hospital with office located on the campus of the hospital.
• Two Physician Assistants support the physicians in the surgery, hospital & clinic.
• SMH has specialized equipment to include the Mitaka microscope and rainbow instruments.
• ER call is limited to 7 days a month (or less).
• Office is designed with 2 procedure rooms and 4 exams rooms.
• Collaborative working relationships with Breast, Head & Neck, Neuro, Oncology and Ortho Trauma surgeons.
