Permanent Surgical Oncology Opportunity in Lewiston, ME
Position Overview:
Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Surgical Oncologist to join a growing, multidisciplinary cancer program. This is an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive oncologic surgical care within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Practice Details:
Full-time employed position
Established cancer program with strong referral network
Multidisciplinary collaboration with medical and radiation oncology
Participation in tumor boards and case conferences
Access to advanced surgical technology and oncology services
Opportunity to develop subspecialty focus (GI, hepatobiliary, melanoma, soft tissue, etc.)
Academic and teaching opportunities available
Clinical Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with benign and malignant tumors
Perform complex oncologic surgical procedures
Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including biopsies and tumor resections
Provide consultations and ongoing follow-up care
Collaborate with oncology, radiology, and pathology teams to develop treatment plans
Maintain accurate EMR documentation
Requirements:
MD or DO degree
Completion of General Surgery residency
Fellowship training in Surgical Oncology preferred
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Eligible for Maine medical license
Commitment to multidisciplinary, patient-centered care
