Job description
We are seeking a dually trained Neurosurgery/Neuroendovascular physician for a locum tenens position at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. This role provides coverage for PTO, CME, and supporting call at a Level II trauma center. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: 300+ bed acute care hospital, Level II Trauma Center with 24/7 ER (teaching hospital)
- Coverage: variable; averages approximately 4 days per month
- Responsibilities: neurosurgery ED/trauma consults (average 6-10, highly variable by acuity) and stroke interventions
- Dually trained in Neurosurgery and Neuroendovascular required (neurointerventional radiologists will not be considered)
- Service lines: stroke, neurosurgery, spine, cardiac, ICU, oncology; 24/7 in-house hospitalists and intensivists
- EMR: eClinicalWorks
Job Responsibilities
Handle neurosurgery ED and trauma consults (average 6-10, highly variable).
Perform stroke interventions.
Work at a Level II trauma center with a moderate-to-high consult load; document in eClinicalWorks.
Qualifications
Active South Carolina license in hand required.
Neurointerventional radiologists will not be considered.
Experience with stroke interventions and trauma call.
