Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) invites an experienced board certified and fellowship trained Neurosurgeon who has exceptional clinical, interpersonal, and leadership skills to join our established team in beautiful eastern Pennsylvania. We are accepting applications for the position of Chief of the Division of Neurosurgery in the Department of Surgery.

Program Overview:

  • Busiest neurosurgical program in a multi-county region which has over 800,000 residents
  • Subspecialized neurosurgery programs span Level I trauma center, dedicated spine center, brain tumor center, cerebral neurovascular center, Joint Commission certified stroke center and integrated neurosciences center
  • Infrastructure includes a 14 bed neurosciences ICU, Inpatient Rehabilitation Center, comprehensive imaging center and Gamma Knife
  • 6 employed attending Neurosurgeons
  • 12 employed Neurosurgery Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)

Position Overview:

  • Leadership of neurosurgery division across multiple campuses and programs
  • Perform both subspecialty and general Neurosurgery
  • Practice at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown, PA and Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, PA
  • Share call 1:6 for Level I Trauma Center and a comprehensive stroke center
  • Employed through Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG)

Position Qualifications:

  • Board Certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery
  • Completed fellowship in a neurosurgery subspecialty - Neurosurgical Oncology, Cranial, Functional or Epilepsy fellowships preferred
  • Have a valid Pennsylvania Medical License or ability to obtain one
  • A network champion for Neurosurgery
