Clinical Scope & Required Procedures -
The physician should be comfortable managing a broad range of adult neurosurgery and trauma cases, including:
Cranial & Neurotrauma
Clot removal
Aneurysm repair
Tumor removal
Brain bleed stoppage
Trauma repair
Cranial burr holes
Intracranial pressure monitor insertion
Intracranial hemorrhage management
Traumatic brain injury
Neurocritical conditions
Ventricular taps
Ventriculostomy
Shunts & Movement Disorders
Shunt insertion or revision
Ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt procedures
VP shunt taps and reprogramming
Stereotactic radiosurgery
Deep brain stimulation (DBS)
Movement disorder procedures
Spine Procedures
Diskectomy
Laminectomy
Spinal fusion
Vertebroplasty
Kyphoplasty
Spine stabilization and reconstruction
Licensing & Certifications
Ohio Medical License or Active IMLC: Required
