Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Neurosurgeon for locum tenens coverage at a hospital-based Level II Trauma Center in Lima, Ohio. This assignment requires an experienced neurosurgeon comfortable with a broad range of adult cranial, trauma, and spinal procedures.

September 24 – October 5, 2026

Assignment Details
- Hospital-based inpatient setting
- Level II Trauma Center
- Adult and geriatric patient population
- 10 operating rooms
- Epic EMR
- Cranial, trauma and spine coverage
Required Procedures & Experience
Candidates should be experienced and comfortable managing a broad range of neurosurgical cases, including:
Cranial & Trauma
- Adult and trauma neurosurgery
- Intracranial hemorrhage and traumatic brain injury
- Clot and tumor removal
- Aneurysm repair
- Brain bleed management
- Trauma repair
- Cranial burr holes
- Intracranial pressure monitoring
- Ventriculostomy and ventricular taps
- VP shunt insertion, revision, taps and reprogramming
- Stereotactic radiosurgery
- Deep brain stimulation (DBS)
- Movement disorders and neurocritical conditions
Spine
- Diskectomy
- Laminectomy
- Spinal fusion
- Vertebroplasty and kyphoplasty
- Spine stabilization and reconstruction
Requirements
- Board Certified in Neurosurgery
- Active Ohio medical license or active IMLC eligibility
- Current BLS
- Current ACLS
- Flu vaccination required during credentialing
- Availability for September 24–October 5, 2026
Credentialing & Travel
Estimated credentialing timeframe is approximately 60–90 days.
Travel accommodations are provided within assignment guidelines, including lodging and standard/economy travel.
