We are seeking a dually trained Neurosurgeon/Neuroendovascular Surgeon for a locum tenens position in Charleston, South Carolina. This opportunity provides ongoing call coverage support at an acute care hospital. Please see below for more information.

  • Acute care hospital
  • Trauma Level II, III, IV (Adult)
  • eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR

Job Responsibilities

Provide 24-hour call coverage for emergency department neurosurgical consults
Provide trauma call coverage
Perform acute stroke interventions
Manage an average of 6-10 consults/calls, with volume varying based on patient acuity

Qualifications

Dual training in Neurosurgery and Neuroendovascular Surgery required
Active South Carolina medical license required
Neurointerventional Radiologists are not eligible for this position

Working Hours

24-hour on-call coverage
Call coverage encompasses emergency department consults, trauma call, and acute stroke intervention
