Facility:
This 600+ bed facility features a comprehensive certified stroke center and provides advanced neurological care to the community. The facility supports a well-established neurosurgery practice with 4 neurosurgeons and 3 advanced practice providers, offering excellent collaborative care and professional development opportunities.
Opportunity:
Advanced Practice (PA) - Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery
Job Details:
• Work with established neurosurgery practice serving adult patients exclusively
• Position is 50% inpatient rounding and OR, 50% outpatient clinic
• Handle 15-35 patient encounters per shift
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 5pm
• Call frequency approximately 5-7 days per month
• Call rotated among PAs with 1-2 PAs sharing Monday-Thursday call with physician support
• Weekend call responsibility is 1:4 with 1 PA and 1 physician, less than 25% in person
• Must have active Florida license and current board certification
• Minimum 1 year experience as advanced practice provider in Neurosurgery required
• Brain/Spine experience, First Assist capabilities, and basic imaging interpretation skills preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Credentialing timeframe 30-60 days
• Nearest airports: Tampa International or PIE - Clearwater St Pete
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
