This well-established hospital serves as a key healthcare provider in the Jackson community, featuring a Level 2 trauma center. The facility has a dedicated neurosurgery department with advanced technology and a supportive team environment to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - Neuro
Job Details:
• Locum Neurosurgeon position for weekend/holiday coverage support
• Schedule: Friday 7:00 AM - Monday 7:00 AM (24-hour weekend/holiday call)
• Coverage Duration: ASAP - Indefinite
• Adult neurosurgery and trauma care, including brain bleed management and trauma repair
• Perform spine surgeries including spinal fusion, laminectomy, diskectomy, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty
• Manage critical care procedures including external ventricular drain management and ICP/CPP monitoring
• Work alongside 2 permanent neurosurgeons in hospital-based practice
• Epic EMR system experience required
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Neurosurgery required
• Active Michigan medical license required
• BLS certification required
• Fellowship training in Neurosurgery preferred
• Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days
• Travel accommodations provided: flight, hotel, and rental car reimbursed
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
