This 650-bed acute care hospital serves as a Level II Trauma Center for the Great Lakes Bay Region. The facility features advanced surgical capabilities, comprehensive diagnostic imaging, and a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care. As a teaching institution, it offers opportunities for medical education while maintaining a commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care.

Opportunity: Board Certified/Board Eligible - Neurosurgery

Job Details:

  • Perform a full range of cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures
  • Collaborate with neurologists, neurointerventional radiologists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care
  • Interpret advanced diagnostic imaging (MRI, CT, angiograms) to guide clinical decision-making
  • Provide consultations, assessments, and follow-up care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • Participate in the teaching and mentoring of medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Deliver patient-centered care with professionalism, empathy, and high surgical standards
  • Practice at a Level II Trauma Center, with access to advanced facilities and support services
  • Position accepts H-1B Visa candidates
  • Requires medical degree from an accredited medical school
  • Must be board-certified or board-eligible (within 5 years of residency) in Neurosurgery
  • Active MI license (or in process of obtaining) required
  • Call coverage typical for neurosurgery at a Level II Trauma Center, including weekend rotation

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included. The package offers a negotiable base salary with productivity incentives, sign-on bonus, retention bonus, quality bonus, comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision), retirement savings plan with employer contributions, paid time off, CME allowance, and potential eligibility for federal loan forgiveness programs through the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit status.
