Job Responsibilities
Perform surgery, such as craniotomy, spinal fusion, and microsurgery
Prescribe medications, including pain management and antibiotics
Order and interpret tests, such as CT scans, MRI scans, and EEGs
Collaborate with other medical professionals, such as neurologists, radiologists, and physical therapists
Educate patients and their families about treatments and aftercare
Document patient medical histories, treatments, and results
Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of postgraduate medical training in neurosurgery
A valid medical license
Skills
Strong clinical and technical skills
Able to work independently and in teams
Able to handle delicate situations with empathy and sensitivity
Able to think critically and act quickly in emergency situations
