Specialty Needed: General Surgical Pathologist
BC/BE Requirements: Board Certified - Board Eligible
Length Of Assignment: 3 month locums assignment
Facility Type: Hospital
Call Requirements: 1:3 -1:4
Schedule: M-F 8:00am-4:30pm/5:00pm
On Call – Weekends – No
On Call – Weekdays - “Day 1” of a 3 or 4 day rotation, candidate would be covering frozen sections, clinical issues, etc. from 8 AM until 8AM the following morning.
On Day 1 candidate would occasionally have to stay here late in the event that a frozen section is scheduled after regular working hours. Rarely get called back in after you have left for the day.
Most common specimens – GI, fluids, lymphoma, GYN (Anatomic), breast, lung /histotech, radiology and endo performs FNA / no bone marrow currently
Pathology assistant does grossing
Immunohistochemistry done in-house
Qualifications:
Board Certification Required or Board Eligible
Fellowship trained
Current PA License: Required due to start time of assignment
