• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to manage urgent surgical and call-related needs

Cardiothoracic Surgeon Responsibilities

• Provide cardiothoracic surgery consultation and coverage during scheduled call periods
• Respond to urgent cardiovascular surgical needs during 24-hour call coverage
• Evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
• Perform or oversee appropriate cardiothoracic surgical procedures within the physician’s scope of practice
• Document assessments, procedures, and follow-up care in the Expanse electronic medical record
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and referring clinicians
