Position Details:
Patient Population: Inpatient and emergency department patients requiring orthopedic care
Setting: Level II Trauma Center; inpatient and emergency department
Responsibilities: Provide 24-hour orthopedic trauma call coverage and perform surgical cases as needed.
Required Procedures: General orthopedic care and fracture care
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Emergency department and operating room staff
Days Per Month: Based on the December 23–January 3 coverage block; partial-block coverage is accepted
On-Call/Weekends: 24-hour call coverage, including weekends
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedics; orthopedic residency
- Active Nebraska license; IMLC required if Nebraska license
- DEA, ATLS
- NPDB report
