- Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage during assigned 24-hour call shifts.
- Respond to urgent surgical cases, including patients transitioning from the cardiac catheterization lab to surgery.
- Evaluate and consult on adult patients age 18 and older.
- Provide surgical backup following consultation.
- Support patient care from intensive care through discharge planning in coordination with the care team.
- Collaborate with an advanced practice provider and hospital staff.
- Complete clinical documentation in the EPIC electronic medical record.
Required
- Board certified or board eligible in Cardiac Surgery
- Active Pennsylvania medical license
- DEA registration
- At least 1 year of experience
- Availability for approximately three weekends per month
- Ability to provide Friday-to-Monday 24-hour call coverage
