Locums | General Surgery | Anderson, IN (Active IN License Required) Why This Role

  • Consistent Thursday‚ÄìMonday call blocks
  • Weekly or every-other-week scheduling available
  • Ongoing assignment beginning January 2027
  • Two physicians may share the coverage
  • Epic EMR
Assignment Details Start: January 1, 2027 Duration: Ongoing Setting: Inpatient, Level III facility Coverage type: Beeper call only Call block: Thursday at 7:00 a.m.–Monday at 7:00 a.m. Schedule may be weekly or every other week Response time: 30 minutes Approximately 8 patients and 3 phone consults per shift Hospitalists handle admissions Assigned and unassigned patient coverage Clinical Scope Adult general surgery Trauma surgery Emergency surgical consultations and procedures Laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair, and Nissen fundoplication preferred Chest-tube and central-line placement preferred Support Four RNs One office staff member Hospitalist admission support No APP, resident, or teaching supervision required Requirements Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery Active Indiana medical license Current ATLS Current BLS Clean NPDB and professional history preferred Local or drive-in physicians preferred Credentialing Approximately 60 days Temporary privileges are not available Vendor-provided malpractice insurance
