11/26/2026 at 7:00 AM - 11/30/2026 at 7:00 AM
12/24/2026 at 7:00 AM - 01/03/2027 at 7:00 AM
Practice Details
Inpatient call coverage
Approximately 10-15 patients per shift
99 beds in the department
No admissions required
Assigned patient rounding
Stroke-certified hospital
PA/NP support available
Office staff support available
Physician will supervise advanced practice providers
No resident or teaching supervision required
Temporary privileges available
Hospital privileges are not required to bid
Qualifications
Board Certified in General Surgery required
Fellowship required
Must be licensed in Kentucky or eligible through IMLC
BLS and ACLS required
General Surgery experience required
Pediatric, trauma, laparoscopic and emergency general surgery skills required
Required Clinical Skills
Experience with a broad range of general and emergency surgical procedures, including:
Emergency General Surgery
Bowel resections
Perforations
Appendectomy
Cholecystectomy
Hernioplasty
Wound care
Incision & drainage / abscess management
Laparoscopic surgery
Breast surgery
Head and neck / thyroid surgery
Chest wall and pleural procedures
GI endoscopy
Minor orthopedic procedures
Chest tube insertion
Central line placement
Vascular access procedures
Trauma surgery
