Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgery Physician for a locums opportunity providing on-site inpatient coverage at a hospital in North Chesterfield, Virginia. This role includes orthopedic trauma consultations, surgical care, inpatient rounding, and overnight call coverage.
Position Details
- On-site inpatient call coverage
- Night call coverage required
- Approximately 8 patients per day
- Inpatient EMR: Meditech
- Outpatient EMR: eCW
Responsibilities
- Provide orthopedic trauma coverage for inpatient and emergency cases
- Perform orthopedic trauma consultations and evaluations
- Provide surgical management for orthopedic trauma patients
- Participate in inpatient rounding and postoperative care
- Respond to orthopedic trauma needs during night call
- Collaborate with emergency medicine, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Orthopedic Trauma experience
- Active Virginia medical license
