This well-established medical facility is a Level 3 trauma center offering comprehensive general surgery services to the community. The 30-bed department provides strong institutional support and a streamlined credentialing process, making it an excellent environment for locum tenens providers.Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - GeneralJob Details:
- Provide general surgery services with approximately 5 patient encounters per shift
- Perform adult general surgery procedures in a Level 3 trauma center setting
- Perform trauma surgery as required
- Perform laparoscopic surgery including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication
- Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
- Active Mississippi license or IMLC required to bid
- ATLS and BLS certifications required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of approximately 3 days
- Nearest airports include New Orleans, Jackson, and Gulfport
