A Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, South Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon for 24-hour call coverage beginning October 9, 2026. This is an ongoing opportunity with an initial block of coverage available October 9–14.
The physician will provide in-house 24-hour call coverage, beginning at 7:00 AM, with admissions and rounding responsibilities. The hospital is a 116-bed community hospital serving the Pee Dee region and is a Primary Stroke Center.
This opportunity is well suited for a General Surgeon who is actively licensed in South Carolina and available for local drive-in coverage.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage surgical patients
Handle inpatient surgical admissions
Round on patients as required
Respond to surgical emergencies and hospital calls
Maintain a 10-minute response time
Collaborate with hospital staff and clinical teams
Complete patient documentation using Meditech
Qualifications
Board Certified in General Surgery
Active South Carolina medical license
ACLS required
Fellowship preferred
Inpatient General Surgery experience
Must be available for in-house call
Must meet facility credentialing requirements
