Job description

Job description A 193-bed Level III/IV trauma hospital in Longview, WA needs a locum general/acute care surgeon starting October 2026, 0.5 FTE, exact dates open (send your availability). $3,000 per 24-hour call day, $600 per night call shift, $250/hr callback.

Job Responsibilities

Cover 12-hour and 24-hour call shifts, including rounding and admissions. Monday-Friday 7am-7pm is restricted in-house call with surgical PA support on site. Nights, weekends, and holidays are unrestricted call, worked solo, 10-minute phone response time, within 30 minutes of the facility. Level 3 trauma procedures.

Qualifications

Board certified required. Active WA license required, the client cannot wait on licensure. ACLS required. Epic proficient user required. COVID-19 vaccination required, no exemptions. Documentation of 100 cases representative of the requested privileges within the last 24 months required.

Working Hours

12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am) and 24-hour call shifts. Start date flexible in October 2026, pending candidate availability.
