Full-Time Director of Cardiac Surgery – Grosse Pointe Woods, MI

- Start Date: As soon as credentialing completes (estimated 90-120 days)
- Duration: Permanent employment
- Shift: Full-time, scheduling flexible based on department needs

- License/Certs: Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Experience: Extensive adult cardiac surgery experience, leadership background preferred

- Lead the development and growth of the cardiac surgery program at Henry Ford St. John Hospital
- Oversee clinical operations, quality improvement, and patient safety initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and support cardiothoracic surgery team members
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, innovative cardiovascular care
- Participate in academic activities, including resident education and research opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
- Drive program expansion through strategic planning and stakeholder engagement
Required:
- Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Michigan medical license (or eligible for licensure)
- Proven excellence in adult cardiac surgery
- Leadership experience in a clinical or academic setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:
- Experience in program development and faculty recruitment
- Academic involvement or scholarly achievements
- Interest in surgical education and mentorship
