Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia is seeking a General Surgeon for a short locum call assignment covering September 26 and September 27, 2026.
This is hospital-only adult general surgery and trauma call with no clinic responsibilities.
The assignment offers $4,500 per 24-hour call period, with 2 gratis hours included per 24-hour period. Callback beyond the gratis threshold is paid at $425/hr.
WV-licensed physicians or IMLC candidates are eligible. Temporary privileges are available, and credentialing may be completed in approximately 2-7 days for IMLC candidates.
Job Responsibilities
Respond to inpatient and emergency surgical needs as required.
Round only on patients under your care.
Phone consult volume is limited due to support from hospitalists and emergency physicians.
Perform appropriate adult general surgical and trauma procedures as needed.
Qualifications
Active West Virginia license or IMLC eligibility.
Comfortable with adult inpatient general surgery and trauma call.
Working Hours
Sunday, September 27 at 7:00 AM through Monday, September 28 at 7:00 AM.
$4,500 per 24-hour call period.
2 gratis hours included per 24-hour period.
Callback after the gratis threshold: $425/hr.
