Position Summary

MultiCare Health System is seeking a BC/BE fellowship trained Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our well-established, thriving and comprehensive Orthopedic Surgery practice. The opportunity includes serving patients in outpatient and inpatient settings with the assistance of an experienced ARNP on a beautiful campus with new state-of-the art facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat spinal conditions through outpatient evaluation, hospital consultation, and surgical planning
  • Perform operative interventions for cervical, thoracic, and lumbar pathologies, including fusions, decompressions, and realignment procedures
  • Collaborate with neurosurgeons and other neuroscience subspecialists on co-managed cases such as spinal tumors and complex deformities
  • Interpret radiologic studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and dynamic imaging to support surgical decision-making
  • Participate in multidisciplinary spine conferences, tumor boards, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Educate patients and families on surgical options, risks, recovery process, and rehabilitation goals
  • Stay current with innovations in biologics, navigation technology, and minimally invasive techniques
  • Complete accurate documentation and ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited program
  • Completion of orthopaedic surgery residency and fellowship in spine surgery
  • Board certified or board eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Washington State upon employment
  • DEA license, NPI registration, and prescriptive authority
  • BLS certification for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $871,800.00 - $871,800.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
