Job description
Location: The Outer Banks is seeking a Board-Certified General Surgeon to provide locums coverage. New providers will need to come in the day before first shift for orientation.
Five years minimum experience is preferred.
Coverage needed:
10/9 – 10/12 -(7a-7a)
12/23 – 12/28 – (7a-7a)
Details
- 24hr call only – NO CLINIC
- Night & Weekends Required
- Average # of patients/day/provider: 15 cases
- # Of Surgical Cases per week: 8-16 OR Cases
- Established Practice with Existing Surgeon
- No ICU/Critical Care Duties
- No Codes
- ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
- System-wide EMR (EPIC)
PROCEDURES: Emergent general surgery cases: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, etc.
