Orthopaedic Hand Surgery Opportunity in Myrtle Beach, SC
Position Overview:
Seeking a Fellowship-Trained Orthopaedic Hand Surgeon to join a well-established orthopedic practice serving the Myrtle Beach area. This is an excellent opportunity to build a busy hand surgery practice while participating in a high-volume orthopedic trauma program with strong APP support.
Practice Details:
Full-time employed position
Join an established orthopedic surgery group
Fellowship-trained hand surgery practice
High-volume long bone, periarticular, pelvic, and acetabular trauma exposure
Advanced Practice Provider support
Call schedule: 10 shifts per month during the first year, decreasing to 6 shifts per month thereafter
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive operative and non-operative hand and upper extremity care
Perform elective and trauma-related hand surgery procedures
Participate in orthopedic trauma call
Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams
Utilize APP support to optimize patient care and practice efficiency
Facility Highlights:
403-bed acute care hospital
Level I Adult Trauma Center
Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
Comprehensive Stroke Center
Only cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, and PICU program in the region
Multiple ACGME residency and fellowship programs
Extensive regional referral network
Requirements:
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery
Fellowship training in Orthopaedic Hand Surgery
Eligible for South Carolina medical licensure
