General Surgery Opportunity in Cleveland, MS
Position Overview:
Seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Surgeon to join an established employed surgical team. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced surgeons and new graduates seeking strong mentorship within a collaborative practice environment.
Practice Details:
Full-time employed position
Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule includes 36 patient care hours plus 4 administrative hours
Combination of clinic and designated surgery days
Average patient volume: 20–25 patients per day once established
Bread and butter general surgery practice
Scopes required
No robotics
No trauma coverage
Covering one hospital only
Call & Support:
1:3 call rotation
Five call days per month built into contract
Additional paid call opportunities available
Hospitalist team handles admissions
Join experienced surgeons with extensive mentorship available
Requirements:
MD or DO
Board Eligible/Board Certified in General Surgery
Eligible for Mississippi medical license and DEA
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary starting at $450,000 plus wRVU incentives
$50,000 sign-on bonus
Student loan repayment assistance
