Facility:
This 162-bed medical center serves as a Level 3 Trauma Certified facility providing comprehensive emergency and inpatient surgical services to the southeastern New Mexico region. The facility offers strong support for providers and maintains high standards of patient care with modern equipment and dedicated staff.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General
Job Details:
• Provide General Surgery call coverage for Emergency Department and trauma patients
• Handle 1-5 patient encounters per shift in a Level 3 Trauma Certified facility
• No outpatient clinic responsibilities - focused on emergency and inpatient care
• Must maintain active New Mexico medical license, New Mexico controlled substance license, and DEA
• Emergency privileges available for qualified candidates
• Schedule: Thursday 4/2/2026 at 7AM to Thursday 4/9/2026 at 7AM
• Perform adult and pediatric general surgery procedures including trauma cases
• Conduct laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and hernioplasty
• Manage chest wall/pleural procedures and perform chest tube insertion
• Provide GI endoscopy services including upper and lower endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy
• Handle central line insertion and PA catheter placement
• Manage vascular access devices and pediatric surgical cases as needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS
• Board certification eligible accepted
• Rapid credentialing process (approximately 1 day)
• Lodging recommendations available with hospital discount rates

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
