Seeking 3 Locum General Surgeons to provide ongoing coverage beginning July 2026.
This is a high-responsibility role covering clinic, OR, emergency cases, trauma response, and 24-hour call coverage. Providers must function as full-time staff during assignment.
Clean malpractice history strongly preferred. Not accepting candidates with malpractice history (dismissed or active).
Job Responsibilities
Perform scheduled surgeries in OR
Provide 24-hour hospital call coverage while on assignment
Respond to ED traumas
Provide post-operative care and inpatient consultations
Perform emergency surgeries as required
Manage approximately 14–16 clinic patients per day
Average 10 surgeries per week (75% outpatient)
Participate in 7–10 day block scheduling
Cover approximately 20 days per month
Qualifications
Oregon State License – REQUIRED (OR license already in process accepted for May/June start)
Residency/Fellowship – REQUIRED
ACLS, BLS, DEA – REQUIRED
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – REQUIRED at presentation
Clean Malpractice – Highly Preferred
Must be willing to work clinic + hospital call
Must respond to trauma activations
Working Hours
OR days: 7:30 A start
24-hour call while on assignment (5:30 AM – 5:30 AM)
Weekend call coverage required
7–10 day block schedule
On call 24/7 during scheduled block
