This hospital is an established acute care facility offering comprehensive surgical services to the Pendleton community. The facility features modern surgical suites, clinic practice space, and a supportive team of medical professionals dedicated to providing high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.

Physician - Surgery - General
Job Details:
• Position for general surgeon to provide coverage for up to 1 year, with specific scheduled blocks • Typical schedule includes weekday clinic (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) plus 24-hour call coverage • Provide post-operative care, consultations, scheduled and emergency surgeries • Average of 14-16 clinic patients daily, approximately 10 surgeries per week (75% outpatient) • Respond to trauma activations in the Emergency Department • Required procedures include diagnostic colonoscopies, screening colonoscopies, cholecystectomy, hernia repair with mesh, diagnostic EGD, excision of breast, abdominal wall repair, appendectomy, skin excision, and hemorrhoidectomy • Work with Meditech EMR in hospital and eCW in clinic setting • Full support staff available in both hospital and clinic environments • Must be board certified in General Surgery • Active Oregon medical license required (or already in process for May/June start) • Completed residency/fellowship, current ACLS, BLS, and DEA credentials required • Clean malpractice history highly preferred • Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation is mandatory • 7-10 block schedule structure with specific coverage dates outlined • Candidates must practice as if they are full-time employees of the hospital • Providers fly into Pasco, WA and drive approximately 65 miles to Pendleton, OR • Lodging at Hampton Inn, Oxford Suites, or shared apartment options

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
