Job Title: General Surgeon
Location: Spokane WA 99205
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Surgeon to provide comprehensive surgical care at the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center. The role includes outpatient clinic duties, surgical procedures, discharge planning, and compliance with VA policies and patient safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S.
- Board Certified/Eligible by the American Board of Surgery
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Valid NPI, DEA, and OIG clearance
- Proficiency in English and adherence to VA medical staff bylaws
- Documentation of education, training, and experience
Responsibilities:
- Provide timely general surgery care and follow-up
- Attend scheduled clinics and OR sessions
- Communicate test results per VHA Directive 1088
- Ensure compliance with medication and discharge protocols
- Report and document patient safety incidents within 24 hours
